In the Prism Light

Lady Diana in the Prism Light
Oh, how I love to see the light changes with the seasons.

Now the angle of the light coming in through the prism in the window bounces off the mirror and on to my Lady Diana in the corner.

Does that mean that spring is on its way?  I hope so.

Return of a Former Client

Time for an Updated Photo?
It was such an honor and a thrill when I heard from my former client, Linda H.  We photographed Linda when she was working on a specific brand about six years ago.  Her hair was shorter, her business was different than it is now and, well, she was younger.  Heck, I was younger.  You were younger six years ago.

Linda told me that she had been on a fabulous vacation with a BFF and while visiting with the locals, it might have been in Greece, some young man saw her previous business photo and made a bold comment that she didn't look anything like that previous photo.

Needless to say it was a shock to her and it dawned on her that, yes, it was time for a new business portrait.

We talked on the phone about her new look and her new brand and set the portrait session date.

It was so exciting to see her again and see the new look.  She still retains her beautiful, youthful spirit in person and in the photo so she was happy with her new business portrait.

I am honored when clients come back to us and trust in our ability to create their best portraits.

To Smile or Not to Smile

To Smile or Not to Smile

When clients are being photographed it's always a fun challenge to give them more than they think they need or want.  Some of us, most of us, love photographs where we are smiling and looking like the happiest people on earth.  That is great.  But I always like to suggest they have  one, the power look, where they might be very important CEO's, decision makers, thought leaders or simply brilliant.

What do you think?  Aren't these two personas the same and yet oh so different?

Are you getting more from your photography experience?  Just sayin'.
