Easter Floral Bouquet

What a lovely day today was. Easter Sunday can vary widely depending on the weather and how hectic the day's schedule becomes.

I bought these flowers on Friday afternoon at the downtown floral shop that I'm becoming quite fond of. My friend Belva B., former photographer now floral artist helped me with this selection.

Today, Easter, we had a nice quiet morning together. I cooked up a mixed vegetable dish to bring to my friends, Karen & Bob, for Easter dinner.  At about 2:00  p.m. I had to make the executive decision what to do with my afternoon: walk outside, take a nap or create an Easter floral bouquet.

When the sun came into the porch and brightened up the space there wasn't any other choice for me.  I got out the ironing board and took out the wrinkles of this fabric and set up my front porch studio for this floral portrait. 

I'm just having so much fun with this front porch studio using available light and a reflector strategically positioned to pop a little light into the scene.
